Ljubo Stefanov was born in 1975 in Skopje, Yugoslavia. He has two Oscar nominations as co-director of the documentary film Honeyland (2019), which won three awards at the Sundance Film Festival. He has more than twenty years of experience in the development and production of communication concepts and documentary films related to environmental issues and human development. His clients include various UN agencies, the Swiss Agency for Development and Cooperation, EuroNatur, etc. He is currently filming his new feature-length documentary film 'House of Earth'. He has been a member of AMPAS since July 2020.
