For more than 20 years, Kathleen de Béthune has specialised herself in the production of documentary films. Administrator of the CBA (Centre de l’Audiovisuel In Brussels ), she has produced and coproduced more than 250 films. In 1990, Kathleen de Béthune founded the Belgian film company Simple Production and produced fictions and documentary films among which “Je suis fou, je suis sot, je suis méchant”, a self portrait of James Ensor, worldwide broadcasted and awarded as 1st Price for film direction at the Art International Festival in Paris (Nov. 1992) and “Rwanda, a republic gone mad”, worldwide sold and awarded 1st price at the Pessac History Festival (1997). More recently Kathleen de Béthune produced " War Is not a Game" by Lode Desmet together with Switzerland, Canada and France.
