She is a documentary filmmaker, educator, curator, and researcher. Her documentary work focuses on topics such as women, migrants, people with disabilities, earthquakes, seeds, mining, and cyanide, and she has also produced contra films. Her films have been screened at numerous national and international festivals, and she has received awards for documentaries such as Alethea, 4857, and Kum. Additionally, she has served as a jury member at various international festivals. She is a board member of the Green Film Network (GFN), an international organization that connects major film festivals dedicated to environmental issues. For the past 12 years, she has been serving as the director of the Bozcaada International Festival of Ecological Documentary (BIFED) co-founded by her.
