Swiss director and author Andreas Hoessli studied Sociology and Economic and Social History in Zurich and Paris. For his PHD he went to study in Warsaw in 1980. After that he worked as Eastern Europe correspondent for Swiss and German media. Since 1987 he created reportages and documentaries for television and cinema.
